I apologize for taking so long in this blog thing. I had an exhausting last semester of college, with the last 6 weeks being an absolute whirlwind... I was still in the process of applying to grad school (to enter the year after Mexico- I got in!), my brother got married in April, a lot was going on in the friends department, I was working on sending out support letters all the time and staying on top of thank-you notes, exams took a lot out of me, my a capella group went on tour, I graduated from college, I went on tour with my concert choir to Vienna, I took a trip with my old roommate to Paris, and this week is bookend-ed by two weddings, both of which I am in! So I have just been trying to catch up on life, but that's not to say that I haven't been thinking about Mexico every day, getting more and more excited about the plans God has for each of our individual growth there and for us as a team, as a community of believers living together for the purposes of building up His Kingdom. How thrilling!
In other life news- my Dad is a pastor who has been doing interim positions for the past 6 years (he becomes the pastor of churches for short periods of time- a year or two- to help the congregation through their issues/ baggage, help them gain vision for the future, etc). So my parents have been in Houston for a little over a year, and his interim position there ends in 2 weeks. My dad is a final candidate to become the long-term pastor for two different churches, but that could take a couple of months to finalize, and so until then- no income. So y'all can pray that one of these two churches would be a good fit for my Dad to pastor, and for speed and wisdom for everybody involved... and for God's provision during the income gap :D
I'll do my best to be better about blogging in the upcoming months. To
think- we will be at training camp in less than three months! A HUGE
praise for me is that my support raising is basically finished. I need
to double check a few things (like airfaire there and back), but I'm at
least incredibly close. He is so faithful!
