Or maybe I can taste it because I've been eating Mexican food almost every day for the past 10 days?  I have to hand it to my Texas-bred friends; they are absolutely right when they say you haven't tasted Mexican food until you've eaten it here!  I always thought they were having TX righteousness- and maybe they were- but it was well-founded righteousness.

I've had an amazing time here- I was stressed (Lauren? Stressed?) about how much I would have to do between moving out of my apartment and leaving for Mexico- but its been incredibly relaxing and fun.  I took a mini family vacation with my Dad and Lane to the TX Hill Country and then to Austin, and then I spent Thursday- Sunday with my best friend Lindsey and her husband Chris in Dallas, which was a blast!  I even made a cameo on their blog, and since I can't post pictures directly onto my specific blog entries, you can check theirs for a rundown of what we did at: http://www.texasturnaus.blogspot.com

I am literally about to jump out of my seat in excitement for Mexico, but it may be because I'm on my 4th caffeinated drink of the day at my new favorite coffee shop in Houston!  I wanted to get out of the house because today is moving day for my Dad and Lane, and I feel bad sitting here using free wireless without buying a drink every so often.  So the parents will be moving to Marietta, GA where my Dad has just been called as the Senior Pastor- for an indefinite period of time!  As I fly to Atlanta at 10 am tomorrow morning for a week of training camp, my Dad, Lane, and the Atlas Moving Lines friends will be making the 13 hour drive to Marietta.  A lot going on in the Henderson family!

Many of you have been asking how you can be praying for me.  Because so many of the details for Matamoros are mysteries to me, I can't give you a whole lot of specific requests right now.  But for training camp, you can pray for great weather and lots of good team bonding!  I'm so pumped about spending the next 9 months with these people, but I know that (as with any group of people living in such close proximity for an extended period of time) we'll need lots of humility and help in communication.  It'll definitely be an exercise in depending on Jesus for everything.

I'm supposed to blog every week or so, so keep me bookmarked for updates and more specific prayer requests!
